A tougher opening stage than it looks: nearly 1,900 metres of climbing over typically Breton terrain, with a relentless drip of short ramps. The day takes in two circuits around Plouay, home each August to the Bretagne Classic and the GP Lorient Agglomération. The closing laps tackle the Côte du Lézot (1.4 km at 4%).
