Copenhagen Sprint

Having been first held in 2025 during the final days of the Vuelta a Suiza, the Copenhagen Sprint moves a week back in 2026 to overlap with the Dauphiné finale, offering sprinters an alternative. Somewhat ironically, last year a sprinter, Jordi Meeus (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe), withdrew from the Swiss race and, with UCI permission, headed to Denmark... and won that inaugural edition.

The course itself holds no surprises: as flat as the landscape dictates and tailor-made for a volata. To reach 228 km — sixty more than the women's race the day before — the route extends north into Zeeland as far as the east coast around Fredensborg and Humlebaek, before retracing its path south and joining the Copenhagen circuit with 51 km to go, five laps of 10.3 km each.
