It is, without any question, the Queen stage of the 2026 Giro d'Italia. No fewer than 5,000 metres of elevation gain in the heart of the Dolomites with six monster climbs.
The names ring of glory and legend: Duran (category 1), Coi (category 2), Forcella Staulanza (category 2), Giau — Cima Coppi at 2,233 metres — and Falzarego (category 2), laid out in near-perfect fashion with the hardest climbs not too close to the finish (the Giau is crested 50 kilometres from the line).
The finale arrives at a never-before-used summit finish: Piani di Pezzè, just five kilometres but with relentless ramps approaching 10%.
