The first ambush of the 2026 Giro d'Italia will come on a long transfer from the Bulgarian coast towards the interior.
The length of the day and, above all, the Lyaskovets climb (4 km at nearly 7% with sections at 14%), strategically positioned 11 kilometres from the finish, promise to trigger attacks and split the peloton at the line.
Also, watch out: following the downhill of Lyaskovets, there's some cobbled slopes, which could make things harder.
