The race's team time trial will set the first big gaps on a course far hillier than is usual for a TTT, with two long ramps in the first half.
Times, as has been the case for years in ASO events, are taken with the first rider of each team across the line rather than the fourth or fifth. The leaders will launch on the final slope in pursuit of the win and the yellow jersey.
