After the spectacle of the Massif Central the day before, the Tour hands the spotlight back to the sprinters this Wednesday on a 'linking' day where the wind will be the only obstacle to the 'volata'.
Two Cat. 4 climbs —Billonnière and Billy-Chevannes, the latter just under 40 km from the finish— will take the peloton to Nevers, where two prestigious Italian sprinters such as Guido Bontempi and Alessandro Petacchi won in years past.
Bonuses
There are 10-6-4" at the finish. The intermediate sprint only awards points.
