The Vosges will be major protagonists of this Tour 2026, with two stages that begin this Friday with an awkward double ascent that leaves the forecasts wide open.
After the Col des Croix (Cat. 3) comes the Ballon d'Alsace (Cat. 1; 8.7 km at 6.9%), the first great giant in the race's history, crossed back in 1905. From there, the descent to Belfort: a breakaway, or skirmishes among the big names of the race?
