A seemingly decisive stage in Qinghai, which reaches its ceiling by climbing past 4000 metres above sea level on Tongbaoshan Mountain.
It is not an exaggeratedly hard climb — the central seven kilometres barely touch 5% — but with that altitude and the fatigue of the previous days, the favourites will surely fight tooth and nail for glory.
Notes
Due to foul weather, the Tongbaoshan climb was removed and the route became completely flat.
