Stage info

The true signature climb of the Romanian Sibiu Tour is the ascent of the Transfăgărășan, one of Europe's most famous and captivating roads and perhaps the toughest and most striking climb in Eastern Europe, a special-category giant that crests at over 2,000 metres of altitude.

Counting the approach, there are close to thirty kilometres of climbing, largely manageable - steady ramps around 6% - though with a somewhat steeper section at 9%. Terrain for climbers built for the long haul, and undoubtedly a spectacular challenge.

Bonuses There are 10-6-4" at the finish and 3-2-1" at the intermediate sprints.
