We cross the border but stay in the Ticino lake region, this time on Lake Maggiore, for a day that will not be one for the sprinters.
After the early ascent of the Monte Ceneri (2nd cat.), the climbs of Fanghi (3rd cat.) and Via Consiglio Mezzano (3rd cat.) follow in quick succession, the latter just 8 km from the line.
Another day of maximum focus for the favourites… even if we know deep down that it will be whatever Pogačar wants.
